Tiberias is one of Israel’s four holy cities – the others are Jerusalem, Hebron and Safed – with a long history and respected pedigree as a place of Jewish study and culture in ancient as well as modern times. Tiberias is attractive all around the year, with natural beauty, pastoral beaches and a variety of activities in the city and its surroundings.

Tiberias is one of the holiest cities in Israel along with Jerusalem, Safed and Hebron. It is mostly populated with different religious Jewish communities. Tiberias offers wonderful opportunities to mix recreation with nature, history with modern attractions and pilgrimage sites with unique tourist attractions. Here one can enjoy a variety of activities.

Tiberias is located at the the lower Galille, shores of Lake Kineret– The sea of Galilee. Tiberias is Israel’s lowest city at 200 meters below sea level, and it attracts thousands of tourists and travelers. Location and weather make Tiberias an excellent holiday resort. The Kineret has attracted people for thousands of years, offering both a source of water and a livelihood.

Tiberias has a long history since it was established in the early Roman period. Tiberias was founded in 18 AD by Herod Antipas, son of Herod the great and Jewish ruler of the Galilee (4 BC-39 AD). Tiberias was the planned capital of the Galilee region and named for the Roman Emperor Tiberius Caesar. Later (54AD) the emperor Claudius added his name to the city – Tiberias Claudiupolis.

The city has 30 hotels including luxury hotels alongside bed and breakfasts and youth hostels. Most hotels are located on the beach and offer vacationers a real treat. Visitors discover a lively tourist city offering a variety of attractions and activities for every age.

Tiberias offers the Dona Gracia Museum, which tells the story of Gracia Nasi who used her significant wealth to save many Jewish refugees of the Spanish investigation and build a Jewish city in Tiberias. The castle is a museum, divided into halls that tell her story and that of the period through rich visuals, scenery and the sounds of the new beginning, which offer a splendid experience.

In Tiberias, the fishing industry is highly developed and dozens of fishing boats head onto the lake every morning, returning overflowing with fresh fish for sale at the local market. Close to the market is a popular falafel complex that attracts thousands of hungry visitors seeking the hot, fresh, tasty morsels.

South of the Old City is Hamat Tiberias National Park, which includes seventeen hot springs whose 60-degree Celsius waters are infused with approximately 100 minerals with unique therapeutic qualities that can be found only here.

At the southern end of the promenade is a Greek Orthodox Church and monastery, including three houses of prayer and a wall of religious icons.

From the Old City and the esplanade, the central boardwalk stretches up to downtown. This is a lively commercial center teeming with varied restaurants, cafes, overflowing pubs, ice cream parlors and souvenir shops. In the summer, the area is particularly crowded and bazaars are accompanied by contemporary music. Near the boardwalk, colorful horse-drawn carriages offer visitors a slightly different tour of the town.

The Dead Sea is on the frame of the Judean Desert, a hot, desolate region which has also become an important center of desert tourism. The Dead Sea is a natural wonder which is situated in the center of the great Syrian-African rift valley fault between Israel and the Kingdom of Jordan.

The Dead Sea is actually a big inland lake 76 KM long, up to 18 KM wide and it is 400 meters deep at the deepest point. It is the lowest point on dry land in the world (417 under sea level). Rainfall is scarcely 100 mm (4 in) per year in the northern part of the Dead Sea and barely 50 mm (2 in) in the southern part.

A tour of the Dead Sea region would not be complete without a visit to the amazing monasteries built on the cliff walls. The seashore is dotted with many springs, enclosed by wild plant life. The special combination that has formed in this place, between desert landscapes and oasies with plentiful water, plants and animals, attracts both the eye and the heart and draws many tourists to various sites such as Nakhal Darga, the Einot Tsukim (Ein Fashkha) reserve and the Ein Gedi nature reserve.

There are some purely historic sites of significant importance in Israel’s past, which preserve the ancient charm of this area. Among the most well-known sites are the Massada fortress, ancient Ein Gedi and the Qumran cave site where ancient scrolls were found, including the Dead Sea scrolls, which offer some insights into early Christianity.

The northwestern region of the Dead Sea is also a pilgrimage site for Christians who have visited here over the centuries especially during the Easter season.
The Dead Sea has attracted visitors from around the Mediterranean basin for thousands of years. Biblically, it was a place of refuge for King David. It was one of the world’s first health resorts, and it has been the supplier of a wide variety of products, from balms for Egyptian mummification to potash for fertilizers.

The Dead Sea area has become a major center for health research and treatment for several reasons. Dead Sea is having the highest salt concentration of any of the world’s seas, salt lakes or any stretch of water. People also use the salt and the minerals from the Dead Sea to create cosmetics and herbal sachets.

It is called the Dead Sea because its salinity prevents the existence of any life forms in the lake. That same salt, on the other hand, provides incredible relief to the many ailing visitors who come here on a regular basis to benefit from its healing properties.

Festivals of the dead sea: Ein Gedi International Marathon, Hatamar Festival, Festival of Mountain Bikes Race.

Near by Parks/Forests of dead sea: Ein Gedi Antiquities National Park, Ein Gedi Nature Reserve, Ein Bokek, Einot Zukim Nature Reserve, Massada Sound and light show, Qumran National Park

Driving Directions to the Dead Sea: An hour drive from Jerusalem along highway 1. The alternative is to travel from Tel Aviv to Arad (145k) and then drive down the 30 km serpentine mountain road from Arad to the region’s heart of Ein Bokek/Neve Zohar.

All these and more make the Dead Sea so fascinating, so different and so interesting.

Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest city and biggest commercial center. It is a busy metropolitan area, which inspires its visitors with a unique vigorous environment of excitement and fun. Tel Aviv is also the country’s greatest cultural center and Israel’s center of art, entertainment, cookery, design and architecture.

Noticeable from a distance with its seafront skyscrapers and exclusive Hotels Tel Aviv presents a lively combination of entertainment venues, dazzling golden beaches, shopping malls, outstanding markets, and wonderful restaurants of all kinds.

Since the beginning of Tel Aviv as the first Hebrew City in 1909, it has always been a central hub of modern Hebrew culture, celebrating the stimulation of the language in playwriting, literature, poetry, and journalism.

Though the city was declared a world heritage site, the preservation of these buildings isn’t always up to standard. A clear result of this neglect is the simple fact that the “White City” isn’t really white anymore, but rather Gray.

People who visit Tel Aviv might wonder why people don’t paint their houses, and indeed we can only participate in this wonder. However, efforts are now being made to improve the condition of the buildings, and help in the preservation of this unique architectural style.

In any case, there are many beautiful buildings which are well kept and bright white, and these are certainly worth seeing.

Tel Baruch Beach

Tel-Baruch beach is nice and very well kept with green grass, an esplanade and comfortable facilities.

The beach is just nearby Dov Airport, and has the real estate project “Sea and Sun” on its southern side.

It is one of the best family beaches in Tel Aviv. There are many families, youngsters and students who come to enjoy this amusing beach.

Hatzok Beach

This is the most northern beach in Tel Aviv, just before. Its northern location is the main reason for its luxurious feel. The beach attracts mostly families and young teenagers from the north of Tel Aviv and Herzeliya.

Tel-Aviv is a great place to find Eastern European and Jewish food. So if you imagine Gefilte Fish or some chopped liver you’re in for a treat. Romanian and Bulgarian restaurants serving good meat are a good place to experience a different atmosphere.

The Tourism Association invites you to visit the 2 visitors’ centers: on the Herbert Samuel Promenade, and at the historic train station in the southern part of Tel Aviv – HaTachana.

At the centers you can receive information about concerts and events throughout the city, gallery and museum exhibitions, children’s activities and recommendations for walking tours.

Eilat is Israel’s southernmost town, a desert resort on the shores of the Red Sea as well a busy port. Eilat is sanctified with everything that makes a perfect holiday. There are many natural wonders and attractions of Eilat- the inviting beaches, seafront restaurants, crystal seas and sunny climate, diving clubs, fabulous underwater world, desert treks, camel tours and even swimming with dolphins. Eilat is a popular sightseer city with astonishing fish and corals.

The main beach is in the North beach, and many of the major hotels are situated here. The south Coral beach area is protected by the Israel Nature Reserve authority, but recent years have seen a decline in the marine life and reef quality.

Fortunately, since the removal of the contentious fish cages from the Gulf water in 2008, a steady recovery of corals has been seen at all dive sites. While many divers head south to the Egyptian Sinai coast to Dahab or Sharm el-Sheikh, to experience better diving conditions, many divers still prefer Eilat, with far smaller crowds, interesting inclusive life and easy, unpressured surface entries.
Eilat Marina – The Eilat marina is situated on the northwestern shore of the gulf of Eilat. It guidelines an area of about 22,000 sqm. The marina has nowadays some 250 berths for yachts of different sizes, about 30 of which are profitable vessels.

Dolphin Reef Eilat - The Dolphin Reef in Eilat is a unique site which allow the visitors to watch, swim & dive with the dolphins. The Dolphin Reef offers the visitor the unique understanding of observing dolphins in their natural habitat.

Coral World Marine Parks- The Underwater Observatory Marine Park is one of the attractions in Eilat. A tour of the Underwater Observatory Marine Park takes into the stunning underwater world. The park presents the visitor with a choice of the Aquarium Museum, the Turtle and Stingray Pool, the Underwater Observatories, the Shark Tank, the Reef Tanks and many more.

Museums – Geronimo Art Gallery, Fine Art Galleries Eilat Ltd – Royal Beach Hotel Eilat.

Festivals- Eilat International Film Festival, Red Sea Jazz Festival, Red Sea International Bridge Festival, Red Sea International Music Festival, Int’l Electronic Culture Festival, Arthur Rubenstein Piano Competition, Med Salsa Festival, Epson Red Sea World of Underwater Images Competition and many more.

Eilat offers dozens of restaurants throughout its length and breadth, on the beach and in the city, in the tourist district and in the heart of the trade zone.

Eilat’s beaches, nightlife and desert landscapes make it a popular destination for family and international tourism.

Jerusalem is a divine city to the world’s three main religions- Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. It is the modern capital of Israel and the country’s largest city.

About 3000 years ago, Jerusalem was established by King David. It is an enthralling city of many contrasts and diversities. It is a city where old and new, holy and secular, pure nature and beautiful structural design mix into magical synchronization of smells, with many exclusive hotels and apartments.

Jerusalem is a charismatic city, whose visitors are inspired by the immaculate glow of its religious shrines, pleasing scenery and outstanding golden limestone.

Jerusalem is one of the most amazing cities in the world. It presents a unique combination of ancient history, spiritual holiness and multi-colored cultures. Only a few cities motivate as much as Jerusalem.

Top attractions of Jerusalem:

The Western Wall , Mahane Yehuda Market, The Dome Of the Rock ,Al-Aqsa Mosque, The Church of the Holy Sepulchure and many more are there for you to discover.

The famous symbol and the holiest Jewish site in the world is The Western Wall- Jerusalem’s old city. It is a remainder of the retaining wall. It was built by Herod the great in the 1st century BC, to cover the second temple enclosed space.

It is a Jewish belief that the Holy Presence has never left the Western Wall, thus it became the most significant site of Jewish pilgrimage, where Jews came to mourn the ruin of the Temple. This is how the Wall has gained the name – the “Wailing Wall”.

The Western Wall serves as a favorite location for Jewish traditional celebrations, and gets wonderfully alive on Friday eve and on Jewish holidays.

The Western Wall is open 24 hours, and requires a modest dress for women and a head cover for the men.

The zoo is built on two main levels. A powered train takes visitors on a circular route from the lower level to the upper level. The entire park is wheelchair-accessible; each train can also contain one wheelchair.

At the western end of the park stands a two-story, boat-shaped wooden visitor’s center meant to resemble Noah’s Ark. It contains an auditorium, an art gallery, a gift shop, a snack bar, and computer stations providing information on animals mentioned in the Bible.

The centerpiece of the lower level is an artificial lake which includes two islands of monkey exhibits. The lake is fed by a series of pools and waterfalls, beginning at an artificial waterfall called “Moses’ Rock”. Water is recycled and pumped back to Moses’ Rock through an underground system.
There are many museums in Jerusalem such as:

Israel Ministry of Finance, Museum of Taxes

The Israel Museum of Jerusalem

Museum of Italian Jewish Art

Bloomfield Science Museum

Tower of David Museum

Most people come to Jerusalem to experience the ancient and holy city. There are also many modern and beautiful places that beautify one of the holiest cities in the world!
